Just three days after being carted off the field with an ankle injury, quaterback Kyle Orton hopes to play Sunday against the Titans.
Orton was relieved when tests revealed only a sprain.
"I'm certainly not ruling out anything," Orton said Wednesday. "I don't know exactly what the timetable's going to be, but I just feel if I keep on making improvement, I certainly can't rule out this week."
Several reports said Orton could miss up to a month with a high ankle sprain after he left Sunday's 27-23 victory over the Detroit Lions on a cart in the closing minute of the first half, but tests showed no fractures or tears. And he's seeing improvement each day.
"It's been a good couple days," said Orton, wearing a protective sleeve on his foot around Halas Hall.

He better play cuz the Bears are screwed if he can't. At the latest they need him back against the Packers. They can't have Rex in there for more then a week in my mind. We might not beat Ten with Orton anyway but there's no chance against prolly the toughest d in the league.
I personally think Orton should sit this week out because the Bears are "expected to lose" anyways.
Plus, we play at Green Bay the following week and that is a more important game then the game against the Titans.
Let Sexy Rexy get his chance this Sunday against the Titans and allow Orton another week to get healthy.
I agree, I don't see the Bears winning this game with Jim McMahon in his prime. Just Orton, let Rex look retarded for 4 quarters, and then worry about the cheese heads
